We are back February 18th at 7:30 at Look Dine-In Cinema in Glendale for Something Must Break directed by Ester Martin Bergsmark! This month’s screening is in collaboration with our esteemed guest curator, the incredible filmmaker and all around icon Zackary Drucker! She’ll be present to introduce the film, with a pre-taped discussion between Zackary and Ester to follow the film. We can’t wait to share this one with you.

They are fearless, queer AF, gorgeous works that must be seen! Also the screening is a beautiful benefit for Sunny Bunny the Ukrainian LGBTQ film festival so please give! Black Cat Cinema Series is beyond excited to announce a second July special screening : the LA premiere of Tinsman Road, the new film by Robbie Banfitch director of The Outwaters. Robbie will be in attendance to discuss the film, queer horror, found footage and all his favorite things. July 15 Tickets on sale and going FAST get them now!

July 9th we are extremely excited to share the dazzling debut feature of Ofir Raul Grazier The Cakemaker with Ofir in attendance for a post screening Q&A. And bonus with are pairing Cakemaker with an amuse bouche the wildly entertaining, feral, and visually stunning short Chico by director Théo Abadie.

THE BLACK CAT is usually just monthly, but sometimes we’ll be doing special screenings with friends and family, so that’s why you’re getting double emails this month. 🙂

Andrew and I saw Mathias Broe’s stunning film this past winter when it was part of SUNDANCE and we’re all three beyond excited to get to screen it as part of THE BLACK CAT. Mathias is an exceptional filmmaker and he’s going to be in town for the screening on the 18th and for our Q&A, along with the extraordinary co-screenwriter of the film, William Lippert.
